The goals of the standardization management information system are to automate standardization processes related to the preparation of draft standards and other publications of Lithuanian, European and international standardization organizations, submission of comments, voting, preparation of Lithuanian versions of standards, conclusion of contracts, publication of high-quality Lithuanian standards, announcement of standards as withdrawn or to be withdrawn, and rapid online public information. It also aims to enable active public participation in European and international standardization activities by adopting European and international standards and other publications as Lithuanian standards, supporting the free movement of goods and integration into relevant EU structures, and to provide the Lithuanian Standards Board (LST) staff and technical committees with IT tools and information needed to improve and modernize the management of draft standards and other publications and to plan, make and control LST decisions.
