The Standardisation Management Information System is intended to automate standardisation processes related to preparing drafts of standards and other publications of Lithuanian, European and international standardisation organisations; submitting comments; voting; preparing Lithuanian versions of standards; concluding contracts; publishing high-quality Lithuanian standards; announcing standards that have lost or will lose validity; promptly informing the public online; enabling active public participation in European and international standardisation organisations by adopting European and international standards and other publications as Lithuanian standards; supporting the free movement of goods and integration into relevant EU structures; and providing LST employees and technical committees with the IT tools and information needed to improve and modernise the management of standards and publication drafts and to plan, make and monitor LST decisions.
