National Vessel Traffic Monitoring Information System

The system is intended to monitor and manage vessel traffic in Lithuania’s maritime areas of responsibility, ensure maritime safety, prevent pollution, and ensure timely data exchange with the networks of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). The system is part of the EU SafeSeaNet platform, and the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration (LTSA) has been designated as the national competent authority responsible for the supervision, administration, and operation of NLESIS.
