Authors’ names are not published; only their gender, the year the text was written, grade and location are indicated. The database currently contains more than 7,500 works by over 900 authors, written at various times, with the oldest dating from 1930. It is intended for research into literacy, education, pedagogy and cultural development, among other areas. It enables research into whether today’s pupils write differently from their parents, how writing skills develop, how teachers’ requirements change and many other topics. The database was started in 2014 and is continuously supplemented with new works. The project is carried out by the Sociolinguistics Department of the Institute of the Lithuanian Language." ;
